Ceat has announced that N M Raiji & Co., the retiring statutory auditors have vide their letter dated 04 July 2012, withdrawn the consent for their reappointment as statutory auditors of the company at the ensuing annual general meeting being held on 10 August 2012 due to the ongoing arbitration amongst partners of the firm. In the view of the above, the board of Ceat in its meeting on 06 July 2012 has approved the appointment of S R Batliboi & Associates, Chartered Accountants as statutory auditors of the company subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing annual general meeting of the company. The said appointment was duly recommended to the company's board of directors by the audit committee of the company by a resolution passed at their meeting held on 05 July 2012.
